Ian Wright turned Pro in 1963 and was appointed Full Professional at Helsby Golf Club in 1967. He has spent his lifetime in golf helping other golfers improve their game, through coaching and clubfitting. He has taught at club, county, international, and tour level during his long career, including greats such as Sandy Lyle. He is also the PGA Professional at the West Linton Golf Club.
Ian was one of the first professionals to pioneer club fitting back in the 60’s and now the advent of Full Swing Golf simulators means more tools than ever before are available to help your game. Ian is available by the hour (50 minute lessons) to iron out any glitches in your swing. Whether you are working on your short game, mid irons or driving, the simulator practice facility and our custom built training simulator are there to improve you as a player.

Club fitting
Charlie Simpson is our resident club fitting specialist. With a degree in golf management and experience of providing the European Tour’s top players with expert technical assistance, Charlie is available for club fitting sessions using our cutting edge SelectFit system from TaylorMade. This revolutionary custom fitting experience is designed to offer golfers a far broader array of golf club options.
Our state of the art fitting cart is stocked with dozens of clubheads of differing characteristics and dozens of shafts of differing make, flex, kickpoint and length. The TaylorMade SelectFit system offers more than 180 driver combinations and over 250 iron possibilities.
